We work with hundreds of schools, a majority of which elect to participate in our Classroom Composite Photo Program (or staff composite for backs of Group Classroom Photo Keepsakes.)
We wait until after retake season is over to begin the process of assembling the classroom composite photo which is generally mid to late November. This is to ensure absent & new students (and the students who elect to have their photos redone) are still included with their classmates.
Our team then moves as quick as possible to custom make the layouts for each classrooms' roster for each school. Classroom sizes differ from grade to grade, teacher to teacher and we want everyone to look great in their layouts.
The photos are then proofed by the school to determine correct spelling and classroom placement. The school/teachers will let us know if any edits need to be made. (Although we give schools a timeline of when we would like proofs returned, extensions sometimes are requested for any number of reasons.)
After the proofs are returned and corrections are made, classroom photo orders are sent to print. (Some districts ask for prints to be delayed until all schools in their jurisdiction are ready, so that all students receive them at the same time.)
After all classroom photo orders have been printed they will be shipped to the school for distribution.
